MARC BOAS

is a native of Zeist in the central province of Utrecht.  After completing high school in 2015, he came to the USA.  He is now a senior at Valparaiso University, where he is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Design and Digital Media.  Marc is Vice President of the Valparaiso International Student Association, and he is a resident assistant in the university halls of residence.  He loves “everything to do with art, such as painting, crafting and watching movies with friends.”

Marc will talked about the stereotypes and realities of Dutch culture, and he presented a summary of the history, art, food, and traditions of his homeland.  The crowd was treated to homemade buterkoek, Stroopwafel cookies, Dutch-style licorice, and hot chocolate on a blustery evening.
