Serbia is considered the crossroads of Europe due to its land locked nature. It is a country rich in Eastern European history which has influenced its culture for centuries.  On October 27, 2023, Danny Jeftich was be the featured speaker at the Valparaiso International Center’s Fourth Friday Speaker Series. 

Serbian roots run deep for Danny Jeftich who was born of Serbian parents and raised in Sanski Most, Bosnia and Herzegovina of the former Yugoslavia. He came to the USA at the age of 16 to live with his father. While on soccer scholarship, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from the University of St. Francis, Ft Wayne, Indiana in 1978. He also earned a Master’s degree in Secondary Education from Indiana University Northwest in 1985.
