YUSIF BANDAOGOU  grew up in a slum community in Accra, Ghana.  Since coming to the USA, he has earned a B.A. in Economics from St. Louis University and a J.D. from Valparaiso University.  He’s currently studying for the Illinois bar examination.

Yusif gave a background briefing on his homeland, and he discussed Project Zongo, the low-cost housing project he hopes to establish back home in conjunction with Valparaiso’s Project Neighbors.  Paul Schreiner of Project Neighbors also shared his insights after visiting Accra.  Richard Cusick of Evolution Artisan Confections spoke about cocoa, Ghana’s major export product, and provided  chocolate samples.
