How is the Valparaiso International Center supported/funded?

The Valparaiso International Center is truly a grassroots organization and is funded completely through gifts and donations from individuals. Because we are not supported by any university, school, or government, we need your help to stay open. If you believe in our vision please consider a gift to the Valparaiso International Center.

What does the Valparaiso International Center actually do?

We do a ton of different things here at the VIC, but our mission can be broken down into two distinct purposes. Our first purpose is to welcome and truly help those who come to the United States. Whether our guests be international visitors or immigrants, the VIC is meant to be a vibrant resource to help them during their travels. For everyone else, we hope that the VIC will be a place of culture, fun, and learning. The VIC truly is a place to learn and engage with others about everything international. Does the Valparaiso International Center have set hours?


Unfortunately, we do not currently have set hours. However, we are planning on having set hours soon. Feel free to contact us if you want to stop by or need some more specific information. We always welcome guests and visitors...just give us a call!

Is the Valparaiso International Center a registered non-profit?

Is the Valparaiso International Center Affiliated with Valparaiso University or the City of Valparaiso?


People ask us this all the time. But no, the Valparaiso International Center is neither affiliated or funded through either the City of Valparaiso or Valparaiso University. The VIC is truly a grassroots organization started and supported by members of the Valparaiso Community. While we may partner with many regional organizations such as local Universities and other non-profit organizations, we are not funded through any of them. That is why we need your help to continue to bring great programs to NWI. If you believe in what we do...give here! 

Can people outside of Valparaiso use our services and participate in programs at the VIC?


Absolutely! We encourage everyone to participate and enjoy the programs at the Valparaiso International Center, especially if you are from out of town. The reality is that we serve the entire NWI area and many of our supporters are located around the world.

Can I donate to a specific program or event? 


We welcome your donations to specific events or programs, especially if you are passionate about a specific activity or program. How can I get involved and volunteer?


We constantly have need for volunteers and always offer unique ways to get involved in your community while meeting people from other cultures and countries. We will be having a "volunteer page" coming soon, but in the mean time if you are interested in helping out, feel free to contact us!
