Geraldine is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Education at Valparaiso University, specializing in Elementary Education.  She began her professional career as an Early Years teacher in inner-city Belfast, then went on to achieve a Fulbright Teacher Exchange Scholarship (1996-97) which enabled her to teach a second-grade class in Oceanside, California.  She completed her PhD in Northern Ireland and is currently on secondment from St. Mary’s University College in Belfast, where she has trained teachers for the past 13 years.
