VENEZUELA – Fourth Friday

Howard Hunte will speak about his native Venezuela, a country that is larger than Texas and located on the northern coast of South America. Venezuela is one of the world’s leading exporters of oil, and it has a rich history and great natural diversity.  Howard was born in Caracas to parents who emigrated from Guyana. He came to the USA in 2000 and earned degrees from Fairmont State University and West Virginia University. A competitive swimmer since his youth, he became swimming coach at Fairmont State, and in 2008 he took over as head swimming coach at Valparaiso University.
